Lodging will be located at the Comfort Inn and Econo Lodge in Demopolis.  Rates are $101.00 plus tax each night. LA will make your reservation, and you will be responsible for costs at check in.

Thursday, April 25
We’ll meet in Demopolis and ride the bus to Livingston and visit University Charter School.  UCS was recently featured on the Today Show for bringing all students together, and their mission to end self-segregation.  Click the Today Show link to view the story.
Friday, April 26
We’ll start the day traveling to Newbern to visit the Auburn Rural Studio and learn about their impactful projects in the surrounding area.  Then we’ll stop at Project Horseshoe Farm and check out the work they are doing in areas of mental health and education.  Afterwards, we’ll travel to downtown Greensboro for lunch and hear about small town revitalizations.
Saturday, April 27
Marion, Alabama features rich Alabama history dating back to the 1800’s.  We’ll explore agriculture and civil rights landmarks, along with learning more about small town community infrastructure.  

Each night, we’ll gather for lively, fun dinners together in Demopolis, where we will be staying.  We truly are excited about discovering and exploring  great things in Alabama’s past, present and future.  If you’d like to be a part of this unique opportunity, please contact us at your earliest convenience to get more specific details on cost, lodging and transportation.  We hope you’ll make plans to attend!
